Data backup solutions Hucknall
Your company relies on the data stored on your computers and servers in order to trade. What would happen if you arrived at work one day and discovered all your data had been lost? Would you be able to continue with your business? The answer is probably either that your business would have to close, or at least, that continuing to run it would be very difficult.
Data loss can occur at any time in a number of different ways and with little or no warning at all.
- Data is stored on a hard drive or solid state drive. These are usually very reliable, but they are not perfect and can sometimes fail.
- Building fires are thankfully a rare occurrence, but when they do happen, they destroy everything, including all your precious company data. Having to find new premises to trade from is a big enough headache, but if your data isn't securely backed up and safe, you probably won't have the information you need to continue your business.
- Viruses and malware can be another source of data loss. If, despite all your efforts to protect yourself against malware, some malware does get into your network, you could either lose your data or lose access to it.
You can protect against any and all these threats, and others we haven't mentioned, by taking a copy, or backup, of your data and keeping it off site. Ideally, a backup should be taken overnight and then taken off site the next day. This is easy to do and will mean you have all your data up to the end of the previous day.
